New Safety Procedures

March 26, 2018

Dear STPES Parents,

The safety of our students and staff is STPES’ top priority. With the support of Cumberland County Schools Safety and Security Department, STPES has reviewed safety procedures and will implement new arrival and new traffic procedures effective, April 9, 2018.

Beginning April 9th, all parents/guardians who walk students to class will be required to sign in and out from 7:15-7:45 at both the front and rear (car-rider) entrances. Just as the front office has a 100% ID check policy, morning arrival will now include 100% ID at the car-rider entrance for all parents who wish to enter the building with their students. Parents will sign in/out and exit at the same location. Teachers are on-duty for morning arrival, 7:15-7:45, and parents should not plan to conference with teachers during this time. As always, parents may drop students off curb-side in the car-rider area from 7:15-7:45.

To improve safety in the area where our students walk home, Jack Britt High School’s back gate will be locked daily 9:00-3:00, beginning April 9th. During these hours, vehicular traffic will access and depart from STPES using the Rockfish Road entrance.

Thank you for your support of the safety of Stoney Point’s students and staff.

Yours in Education,

Cindy Anderson, Principal
