International Walk to School

Students holding hands and walkingInternational Walk to School is an annual event that promotes walking for physical activity, teaching safe walking skills to children, concern for the environment, awareness of how walk-able a community is and where improvements can be made, reducing traffic congestion, pollution and speed near schools, sharing time with community leaders, parents and children.

STPES is holding a Walk to School event on the track of the K-2 school play ground.  For safety, students are going to walk the track with their teachers.  Each grade level has a designated day to participate. Parents are invited to walk with their children and spend some valuable time exercising with them.  The event will be held before class from 7:15am to 7:40am.

Event Dates:
4th and 5th Grades – 10/2
2nd and 3rd Grades – 10/3
Kindergarten and 1st Grades– 10/4
