Girl Picking Book of Shelf

You are invited to our Scholastic Book Fair, a reading event packed with excitement for students and families.  The fair will be located in the Media Center and will start Wednesday, October 3rd and end Wednesday, October 10th.  It will be open daily from 7:30am– 2:10pm. However, the fair will close early on the last day, Oct 10, at 11:05am. Each class has been assigned a day and time to visit the Book Fair. You are encouraged to come with your child to select books during that time. The fair hosts a large selection of age appropriate books as well as other items such as puzzles, kits, educational toys, and stationery items.

We will be hosting a special Family Night event on Thursday, October 4th.  The fair will be open that night from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. During this time, you will be able to browse the fair with your child.  We hope to see you there.

Please email janetquant@ccs.k12.nc.us if you are interested in volunteering at the book fair.  Available time slots are 7:15-9:309:30-12:00, and 12:00-2:30

        
La Cocina Spirit Night

Mexican FoodStoney Point’s La Cocina Spirit Night will be held on Wednesday, September 26th.   Part of the profits that night will go to STPES PTA.  Just let your server know that you are there to support Stoney Point . We hope to see you there.

        
Monday Two-Hour School Delay

School Closings and Delays

Due to numerous road closures, flooding and hazardous road conditions that still exist, the Cumberland County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, September 24, 2018. Breakfast will not be served. Morning Prime Time will not be available.

RegistrationAge Requirements:  In order to be enrolled in a public kindergarten program in the state of North Carolina, a child must be five  years old ON or BEFORE August 31 of the year in which he/she is presented for enrollment.

All students must attend the school in the attendance area in which they live. Exceptions include special assignment as approved by the Cumberland County Assignment Office.

Immunizations needed: 

  • 5 doses of  Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis
  • 4 doses of Polio vaccine
  • 2 doses of MMR-Live vacine
  • 3 doses of Hepatitis B
  • 1 dose of Varicella
  • 1 – 4 doses of Haemophilus Influenzae (HIB)
